The DoubleTree by Hilton is a classic hotel, loved for years by visitors to Newcastle. Staff very friendly, room was spotless, great breakfast included and excellent location for the airport or city centre.

The hotel is 300 metres from the terminal building at Newcastle Airport and a 15-minute Metro ride from Newcastle city centre. It has free Wi-Fi, a restaurant and a cocktail bar. I liked it very much, cleanliness was very good, the staff was very nice, there was no noise

The location was good, as we travelled from Australia, it was 5 minutes from the Airport, and a short walk to a Pub, which was excellent for food and close to some shops and coffee shops. the owners were fantastic and friendly.
