Hotel in Tofino ( 0.1 miles)
The Maq Hotel is located in a lively part of the town of Tofino. It offers free WiFi, cable TV, and a guest lounge with a view of the harbour. The hotel is located on the north side of Tofino, right by the water. It was nice, clean, and even the sofa, where the 3 person had to sleep, was comfortable. There is also a free shuttle bus that goes all the way to Long Beach (a couple of times a day) that stops right opposite the hotel (seaside).

The walkability of the town is great. You can park your car and enjoy the sites and sound of the area. I went with Tofino Air on a mail delivery run to one of the out lying communities. It was a great experience!
Tofino is a beautiful little town, packed with interesting shops and great restaurants. You must try The Wolf in the Fog restaurant, It's a bit pricey but the food and drinks were awesome. Try the duck and the Cedar Sour!
This is a fabulous and beautiful little town. Outstanding views Great restaurants Plenty of stuff to do, from whale watching and kayaking to hiking in forests and looking out for bears. People were friendly and helpful I would not recommend this town more highly
I first visited Tofino twenty years ago. It was a quaint, small town that had incredible views, top rated restaurants and excellent ways to experience the area. We couldn’t wait to revisit the area. It has grown considerably and it has become a real tourist trap. It’s now overrun with tourists, the top rated restaurants no longer exist, and it now attracts a younger population. As a senior, I was deeply disappointed that my recollection of Tofino no longer exists. Like many Canadian destinations, it caters to attracting tourists, not maintaining the main reasons why the destinations were popular in the first place. I have loved Canada most of my life, but this was my very last visit.
Tofino is an amazing corner of the world. Stunning scenery, nature, freshness. Great restaurants. Great local shops. Nice place to walk and hike and go to countless sandy beaches - The best on the west coast. 5 stars
I first visited Tofino 40 years ago. It is now more like a tourist spot and less like a fishing village. The natural beauty has not changed. The people are still very friendly. If you like biking you should plan for that. There is a 40 km bike path mostly through the forest, and mostly flat.
