Hotels near Grantley Adams International Airport - BGI, Bridgetown

Alwyn showed us around the locality on the first evening by car. Took us to the supermarket by car and waited while we shopped. This made all the difference as we didn't hire a car. Beach was walking distance

Has a mixture of really high end hotels but also alot of B & Bs, Restaurants at the beach are ready available just bring lots of money as it is more expensive then you may think. The beaches are nice but had a few stones and algae so you need to wear some sandals while on the beach. Walking distance to many Cheap Buses /expensive taxis, just head to the main road to Bridgetown and you will never wait more than 5 mins to get offers o to take you downtown or to the airport. Good location to stay during your Barbados adventure.

Fantastic apartment with everything in it which one possibly needs. And the view from the balcony is amazing/ stunning. You can see the turtles and other fishes swim by! Couldn’t get enough of it! You can open the doors all the way thereby you create a huge balcony/ living room. No need of a car even though there is a private parking space for the apartment. Bus stops right in front of the house at the main road. It’s B$ 3,50 pp to Bridgetown. Supermarket 5 minute walk, the one across the street is closed down. St. Lawrence Gap in walking distance as well. Food court across the street behind the gas station. Great communication with Trudi before and during our stay. She also arranged pick up from the airport for us. Really only negative remark: Some nights you can hear the bar in the neighborhood VERY much. But that wouldn’t keep me from booking this apartment again! We hope to come back.

Could have had more time but a 9 day stay provided a wonderful taste as we visited multiple beaches and dined at multiple fine Restaurants on West Coast, explored the island further to the Monkey preserve and on to Round House on east coast. This Vacation deserves a WOW!

Christchurch is an excellent location within Barbados with a mix of lively bars, activities, food and options for travel around the island. I would suggest it is the best base for a first timer to Barbados, as you can get involved with the low and high ends of Barbados depending on which you enjoy. However, if your only interested in the Instagram perfect picture of Barbados then I would suggest you stay on the West of Barbados.

Christchurch has very friendly people lots of shops, beaches and busses by the second. Lots of bars and restaurant including places you can eat for breakfasts. some places can be expensive and some reasonable depending on your budget.
