The grounds were so beautiful to walk, watch the swans, or sit at the big window (if raining) and enjoy the gardens. It’s still close enough to town to see the sites or take a tour then return to a relaxing home. Sharing a house and meeting other travelers was a bonus. Most of all, we enjoyed our evening with the host (Mark) and his son (Harry) sharing stories. We highly recommend staying at the Shannon River House.

Kilmurry Lodge Hotel is a family run hotel, ideally located just a 5-minute walk from the University of Limerick and the National Technological Park, Castletroy. I was speechless! How it's an amazing place , I could stay more nights , have a good location, and near to everything! Our room it was clean and fresh, it was more than we expected. Hotel deserves more stars.

Our room was very comfortable, well equipped with a large bed, a lounge area, ironing facilities and an office space. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and spacious. The staff were professional and very helpful, from the reception to the housekeeping staff. We had a problem with our room thermostat, and the duty manager was amazing and so friendly and resolved the issue so efficiently, and we appreciated that we were given a discount for the night.
